Hues, Fare and Abandon

Which festival do you enjoy ? Does it feed your soul? Let me know your views.
Holi while it has its own religious history, the day starts with greeting people with colour, sprinkling blush , adding water to the colours with gay abandon and swishing it around at anybody and everybody.
Rang Barse time sets in.
Gujiya’s also abound. Some make it truly delicious
The mood is of joy and calm rush sprinkled with religious tones.
The colour and food festivity continues till the afternoon and melts into some delicious food.
People get together nourish , tipple and lush .
Bliss. Cumulus clouds.
A few people come out in their linen whites. florals and enjoy the air of festivity . They live it up.
The afternoon dozes into a a relaxing afternoon siesta.
That now is festival I love.
Holi.

While the Hindu faith has many festivals and I celebrate many a few with joy and passion, it is the festival of colours that I really relish and look forward to .
