Fifties : The tipping point.

– Canoeing , cruising , paddling, surfing or sculling , afloat, adrift , swamped . Where are we?

Fifties does set in nicely with many , with ones wisdom tooth having been taken away , concerns around baldness have simmered down, hormones understood a bit better and at work most are established with a steady flow of income.

What you then begin to strive for is a still mind, religion, nature, friends or what most individuals spend a lot of yearning, striving and earning for – the very elusive ..,a need or want , you can conjecture.

Others opt for education, charity , building society , diversity

Yet a few venture into politics with an intent so clear to serve the country. An intent that quickly recoils into an illusion for some and channel to serve for others

The elusive need of adequate money however haunts the most. Linked to it, in the corporate life the desire to hold one’s job in a very uncertain economic environment is of prime , prime concern.

The financials needs have risen rapidly as people focus to educate their children

The single most important area that parents spend time on.

Marrying children,build or buy homes where they intend to settte and put a stop to all new borrowing are other thoughts in the mind .

The desire and hunger to educate children runs high in the family. The upper medium society , look at children going abroad , mostly preferring the US. Eventually wealth of parents defines their destination as they head to a host of countries.

The most astonishing change happening now is the lower middle class earning more and thinking more profoundly on education of their children

Love for nature, travel and health flourishes and yet a significant number of people get into anxiety and depression. A loosely used term but a clinical disease where the patient needs extreme support and a very strong caregiver .

Alas I am probably talking of top percentage of the population .

Must admit the need for research for all the strata of society

I can however admit fifties is like no other in corporate life.The swings in jobs are extreme . Those who have confidence but little clarity in detail will skid . After all someone has said .. confidence without clarity is disaster.
